Morgue Exhaust

Dead bodies give off a distinctive and unpleasant odor. The ambient air in morgues can consist of more than 400 volatile organic compounds in a complex mixture; which are produced by the actions of bacteria, which break down the tissues in the body into gases and salts. Ozone has a very high oxidation potential which means that it breaks down other molecular structures. As odors often originate from organic compounds, these can easily be broken down with ozone. Great results has been seen in removal of H2S (hydrogen sulfide) and other volatile organic compounds (VOC).
